SOMEONE'S IN THE KITCHEN

Remodeling experts recommend that homeowners upgrade their
kitchens if they want the best return on a remodeling investment.
NAR's 2005 Cost vs. Value Report shows that homeowners recouped
91 percent of their investment in mid-range kitchen remodels
last year, versus a 66-percent return in 2002. The return on
investment was higher in Florida, ranging from 95.2 percent
to 113.4 percent in Jacksonville, Orlando and Tampa. However,
NAR spokeswoman Stephanie Singer says homeowners will
not recoup as much at the time of resale for upscale remodels.
Outdoor kitchens and contemporary styles are also popular.
